Sonia Uche was born in Delta State, which is located in Nigeria’s South South area.

She is a Delta State native who grew up there. She is the first of four daughters, one of them is Nollywood actress Chinenye Nnebe. Ijeoma Nnebe and Jesinta Nnebe are her other sisters.

Sonia Uche is the daughter of Uche Nancy, a prominent costumier and producer. She and her siblings were reared by their mother.
